The Gud Ol' Days

***updates - heehehe, karya terbaru hamir... (my views on d new ones, sorry kena diam dulu..., later after show baru me comment, daa)

Hurm, funny wut triggered me heart wanna write on these! Seriously me pun tak tau naper? Maybe cos jumpe balik ol  frenly faces kt MEAA recently, n later  that nite plak, dok I, syok2 belek my pictures galleria in my pc, teras seronot pulak looking back on few photos I have taken few years back kt GUDANG lama. 

Teringat balik those precious, interesting, sweet moments there…, being with Big Boss, looking at him berkarya secara live (recording some of his live moves), enjoying cool n exiting exhibitions there, as well as hanging out and dapat berkenalan with ramai kawan2 baru kt sana! Eventho’ me haven’t step me foot on the new Gudang just yet, jgn tanya kenapa? tahle... dulu x leh kut! (kt SGM lastweek pun, d first thing Hamir said when he came up menegur ws 'bila nak dtg Gudang?'), ....hurm, me jst smile, in my heart, Xde rezeki lg sampai sana mungkin… InsyaAllah, nk try  ujung minggu ni, kalau ada kelapangan... yelah maa, now boss tu pun tgh pulun for The Arrival.., IA lah, kalau ada kesempatan, mau juge gue join di Singapore sana nanti! xpe, itu nanti citer sama NR atau kwn2 lain camne! anyhow, wutever it is... am sure, Gudang baru gonna be as interesting and as great as d old place were, walaupun, the new one, is mainly/ideally designed for Hamir’s private and isolated Studio, tp definitely there’ll be more to come for d folks of Kuang. Since, ramai artist hebat dah betapa kat sana, confirm byk art activity nanti… Oh well, itu kita tunggu je invitation diorg nanti.

Now, saje jer me wanna bring back hamir’s old works that is truly close to my heart! Lagipun rindulah, since hamir dh secara tidak langsung bertukar direction these couple of years… Mmg rindu banget gue with his gothic and deep expressions, in his artpieces! For me, that would bestly define ‘Hamir Soib’. Tp katanya akan kembali to that nanti definitely… tungggguuuu!! Ape2pun Hamir is still my top listed fav artist… karya pertama yang me jatuh cinta, is ‘Air Yang Sangat Dalam’, and his Pameran Tunggal telah menguatkan lagi dirinya sebagai one of artist seni Malaysia tersohor. 

Pameran Tunggal Hamir Soib @ Mohamed, year 2005 is forever terpahat di ingatan dan menjadi rujukan.

Remembering back to those days, mmg it holds a personal sweet memory indeed; having the chance watching him working on his art pieces for that show, working day n nite … x berhenti-henti determination dier… Salute n probs to him! Me tergamam sentiasa melihat karya ‘dan master itu sedang bekerja…’ til now ok? Am so impressed with that piece, n has ever since became my most fav of all time! Masih ingat juge, karya ‘Pilihan’, karya yg seringkali berubah wajah, as tho’ hamir was struggling with that painting of his! Til’ d day, near to his opening, he finally satisfied with that final touch of his, and the final images that has appear on the canvas; he then surrender, putting down his paint and brush! Phew!! But, I must say, the end result was great, altho’ to me n few others, karya itu mmg hebat from the very beginning, even dgn imej yg dilukis dan telah dipadam sebelumnya! Anyhow, itu karya dia, he knows better! Oh ya, Not forgetting juge, I was truly head over heels dgn Backdrop Kolaborasi ‘Fighter Jet’ yg dihasilkan khas untuk pembukaan Gudang. This one is humongous, n extremely Magnificent! Heeheee…  Day by day, lihat backdrop ni disiapkan, mmg tenganga mulut! Bila tibanya malam ruang Gudang dibuka untuk umum, Backdrop Fighter Jet, dengan gahnya menjemput visitors melangkah ke Dunia Hamir… Terpesona Yo!

Gudang juge sempat mengadakan pameran2 menarik dat stays in our hearts forever! I just loved, pameran Tamu, project Mural, pameran Ikat Batu: Bab 1 (hehehe, wa ada sumbang kpd tajuk ini), pameran Open Studio, pameran 13>13Julai and Arts+Earth Young Artist Award! Seronoknyer, me berpeluang berkenalan dengan seniman baru dari serantau asia as such, Tasiman (arwah), Kajin Goh, Tessa Weatherill, Helen Crawford and Putu Sutawijaya….

Me also berpeluang melihat Hamir n his crew menyiapkan beberapa bauh Backdrop yg besar2 sizenye untuk Porject IB! Seringnya, masa yang diberikan to them hanya seminggu, selalulah lihat mereka pulun habis-habisan bekerja towards the deadline, n usually by the time untuk menaikkan karya n final touch up di IB, kena pulak menunggu masa untuk bekerja di stage selepas rehearsal  teater selesai, dan seringnya rehearsal tu pulak lewat pagi baru habisnya,.. hurm, hamir and team dah masuk bekerja pukul 8-10pm paling awal, tapi boleh mula bekerja kadang-kadang sampai 2pg n kena pulak kerja sampai subuh, mmg penat tgk diaorg bekerja,,, hehe, me n me best girl sempat juge sekali-sekala teman diaorg bekerja. Seronok pengalaman tgk pembikinan Backdrop n Props stage theatre ni… Kerja belakang tabir sentiasa haywire, kat mana2 pun! Ehehehe…

Ape2pun, bestlah teringat memories Gudang lama di Damasansara Jaya ni… dulu laju je drive there after habis keje or weekend break, now mak aih, jumpa big boss pun jarang 2, ajiz dah kerja di Johor, Rizal tah aper citer dah ek? (hehehehe)…, Sophie dah famous amous (good for him, ;p), pooi oklah masih jumpe n bergerak maju sendirian, Jai  msh kt Ukay Heights n dah nak kawen rasanya, intan lak asyik ngn sarah cinta (oklah dpt juge jumpe lstweek, ditinggalkannye cinta kt umah, menjerit baby doll tu kt phone! hehe)., n then sape lg ek? emnmm, poodien ngn cat lak dah tercatat nama dlm sejarah  Artis Muda Malaysia... tahniah guys! me am so proud of them, (ohya, nk shout gk kat Buden, my mst fav, for dia juge one of the MEAA winners lst week. hampeh tul buden, diam je bila wa jumpa dier two days bck b4 d awards fiesta, bt i know sumthing fishy dah, cos dier tersenyum-senyum, instinct wa kuat lah wei! n then tis morn lak on MHI tv3, poodien ngn  buden, 'the Saifuddin and Samsudin' were on air! betullah akan kata seseorang, artis muda nih  melukis hebat, time bercakap je . . .  cos bila LIGHTS ON je,  terus malu, darah gemuruh meluap-luap, apa yg dickpnye tah! ehehehe, jgn marah ye buden, me dh text kutuk n congratulate u pg td dah kn?? :) n he replied 'hehe nmpk gabra ke? tq' ...  eh, camne leh sampai masuk buden ni... aish, REWIND! ohh, pasai me rindu kengkawan gudang... apepun thank god for these photos dat i have... collection of photographs  really helps us in remembering! Helps me, anyway… except for memories u needed to forget, aiyo, lekas2lah capai the courage within u to buang! :) Anyhow, sorry, sikit je gambar me upload, yang lain simpan untuk kenangan wa sendiri lah… aite, ciao!
